Hi there! We’re Katie and James Manco, a husband-and-wife duo with a shared passion for storytelling through photography and videography. We’ve been married for 10 wonderful years, during which we’ve shared countless adventures, welcomed two beautiful children into our lives, cared for our loyal dog, and moved more times than we can count. Each step of our journey has shaped who we are today and inspired the heart behind Katie James Photo and Film.

Our Journey to This Dream

James has dedicated 16 years to the military, a career that has instilled discipline, resilience, and a relentless drive to improve. These qualities shine in his work, as he continuously pushes himself to learn new techniques and refine his editing skills. James brings a cinematic perspective to our videography, crafting films that evoke emotion and preserve the essence of every moment.

Katie, on the other hand, took a winding road to photography. After staying home with their two amazing kids and exploring several fulfilling career paths that just didn’t feel quite right, she decided to go back to school for graphic design. Funny enough, it was a required photography class that changed everything. At first, she dreaded it. But the moment she picked up a camera, she fell in love. Photography unlocked a deep passion for artistry and storytelling that she had never experienced before. Since then, capturing life’s most meaningful moments has been the highlight of her career.

Katie brings a deeply emotional perspective to her work. Yes, she’s the one bawling at weddings, feeling every heartfelt vow, every joyful tear, and every celebratory laugh. She’s driven to improve with every shoot, constantly learning from other amazing creators and striving to outdo herself with each session. Her goal? To make every image better than the last.
